Sound

Let’s Talk About Frequency & Sound
I’m so passionate about the power of sound as a healing modality
- And there’s a whole lot of fascinating science behind it!
Here’s how sound and frequency can affect you during a sound immersion:
♾️ Sympathetic Resonance ♾️
Your body - right down to the cellular level - is vibrational.
Every cell, organ, and system has its own unique frequency.
When all is well, you’re humming along nicely - harmonious, tuneful, resonant. ✨👌🏻
But then… life happens. Things knock us a little flat, a little off-key. 🥴
That’s where sound comes in. As I play my instruments over and around your body, your cells ‘hear’ those pure, harmonious frequencies and think:
Hang on… I remember this note!
They start to join in - returning to their natural resonance. That’s Sympathetic Resonance!
And that's why you leave a soundbath feeling lighter, clearer, calmer, and just… better. 💫
♾️ Entrainment ♾️
Entrainment is a natural synchronisation.
Imagine your body and mind aligning with the steady beat of a drum. 🥁
When that happens, your brain mirrors the rhythm, creating electrical impulses that match the beat. 🧠⚡️
Rhythmic, repetitive sounds can feel mesmerising - almost hypnotic - drawing you deep into the present moment (and far away from thoughts of shopping lists or laundry).
♾️ Frequency Following Response ♾️
This is the use of specific sound frequencies to evoke a desired response in the body.
For example: shifting brainwaves from the alert Alpha state to the deeply relaxed Theta state, allowing your body to rest, repair, and restore. 🥰
No two soundbath experiences are ever the same - even for the same person.
Come with an open mind and an open heart, and let sound work its magic.
