Hormone Yoga is a dynamic practice designed to stimulate the Glands & Organs of the Endocrine System. The Gland are the Guardians of our Health! In the body ... your Endocrine System is your 'traffic management' department, responsible for circulating chemical communications in the form of Hormones and feeding back responses via the blood. Your Hormones are continually providing information to the brain and body in the realms of mood, metabolism, emotions, stress, appetite & fertility ... to name but a few! During this practice we will aim to balance the hormones in the body through movement, breath & most importantly ... REST! WHO IS THIS PRACTICE FOR & WHY ARE YOU SO EXCITED ABOUT LYNNE!? This practice is recommended for anyone over the age of 35 as a means of ensuring hormone levels stay balanced and to help prevent menopause symptoms. It has also shown to lessens the chance of later ailments like Osteoporosis or the chance for cardio-vascular diseases. In younger women it may help improve fertility and to alleviate PMS. In men it helps to improve testosterone levels and prostate health. With a regular and dedicated practice, over time, it has also been shown to be beneficial for most other hormonal imbalances, like Thyroid Dysfunctions, Diabetes Type 1 & 2 or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Benefits of Hormone Yoga: - Activates the glands - Activates the abdomen and pelvic area & tones the pelvic floor - Tones the muscles and strengthens the bones - Improves flexibility - Improves digestion and metabolism - Harmonises the nervous system - Brings general relaxation and rejuvenation - Reduces hot flashes - Improves memory power and concentration - Balances mood swings ∆ CONTRAINDICATIONS TO THIS CLASS ∆. THIS CLASS MAY INCREASE ESTROGEN LEVELS ∆ ∆ Do not attend if you have conditions where your levels of estrogen SHOULD NOT increase. eg: if you have severe endometriosis, fibroids / myoma or estrogen-sensitive breast cancer. ∆ This class is designed to stimulate hormone production therefore, if you have any form of Hormone related disease or cancer - Please check with your physician prior to practice. ∆ If you have recently had surgery - Please do not attend until your wounds are healed. ∆ This is not suitable for practice during pregnancy ∆ There is a lot of activating breath work during this class which may be unsuitable if you have acute psychosis. ∆ Please: Always contact your medical professional if you are unsure! ∆
